Choose a scannable code or a random identifier
The QR generator turns a short URL, text, Wi-Fi setup, email, or contact into a static image. The UUID generator creates version 4 random identifiers for records, fixtures, and application development.
Test a QR code before sharing it
Scan the saved image with the devices people will use. Check the destination and keep the white margin around the code. The QR image stays the same after download; changing a printed destination requires a URL you control that redirects somewhere else.
Random does not mean secret management
UUIDs identify records; a full authentication or password system needs more than an identifier. Avoid putting private credentials in QR codes that others can photograph.
